Life Coaching & The Purpose-Driven Life

Some people may look to mediation as something only to do in cases of conflict. It’s true that mediation helps in many cases like that, but the true goal of mediation isn’t about resolving conflict. It’s about giving people the tools to communicate and talk openly about themselves and what they need/want.

What is life coaching? Life coaching is when you go to talk to someone (your coach) about a specific aspect of your life that you’d like to address or change, and the two of you work out a plan together. It can involve training, advice, guidance — even mediation. Mediation can be a valuable part of life coaching, because of what it focuses on. Even if you don’t have a personal or professional goal to accomplish, everyone can benefit from learning how to openly communicate and speak what’s on their mind.

Using life coaching and mediation together will help you figure out what you want to do in your life, and give you the tools to accomplish that. While it isn’t required to do them together, the ways that they shape and influence each other are beneficial for anyone trying to take charge of their life.
